Position Summary

The Junior Mechanic supports the maintenance team to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely. This includes assisting with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues, as well as performing preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics with maintenance and repair of production equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans
  • Support mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting
  • Maintain equipment in safe and efficient working condition
  • Complete light shop work (drilling, tapping, etc.)
  • Report equipment issues promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Collaborate with production teams to support quality output
  • Participate in training and cross-training programs
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of mechanical or maintenance experience preferred, or strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and repair
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform light shop work
  • Ability to read measurements and follow maintenance procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to machinery and noise
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting
  • Regular shifts with potential overtime based on production needs

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
