Junior/Mid Software Developer (Investment Banking - Trading)

Day Rate: £500-£650 (Inside IR35, Umbrella) Duration: 6 months initially, with scope for extensions Location: Central London - 3 days onsite per week

We're looking for a Junior/Mid Software Developer to join a technology team supporting trading and transaction processing systems for a leading Investment bank.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, maintaining, and supporting an FX Options deal capture and notification platform
• Working closely with developers, business analysts, and support teams to deliver changes into production
• Debugging and resolving production issues (3rd line support)
• Contributing to technical and functional analysis, including breaking work into tasks and tracking progress
• Supporting releases, environment preparation, and pre-production testing
• Producing clear documentation to improve team knowledge and support capability

What we're looking for:

• 2/3+ years of continuous commercial development experience
• Strong evidence of individual contributions to sizeable projects
• Demonstrable ownership, pro activeness, and attention to detail
• Communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
• Banking experience not essential

Required technical experience:

• C#, C++, Python
• XML, IIS
• Ability to debug and support production systems
