Onsite in Manchester - Ideally 2 days per week

As the Lead Data Consultant (Microsoft Stack) you will be the senior authority for enterprise data architecture, responsible for defining, governing, and evolving our modern data platform utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and related technologies.

Key Accountabilities include:

- Designing the target data architecture for D365, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.

- Setting enterprise-wide data standards, Master Data Management (MDM), and canonical definitions.

- Owning data flows and integrations using Dataverse APIs, Azure Data Factory, Service Bus, event-driven patterns, and dual write.

- Leading the data migration strategy, including staging, sequencing, mock loads, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.

- Architecting analytics in Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse, developing semantic models, and guiding pipeline builds using PySpark.

- Driving data governance, establishing data quality rules, lineage, glossary, and facilitating decision-making forums.

Knowledge and Experience required:

- 8+ years of experience in a mixture of data engineering or data architecture type roles.

- Strong knowledge of integration patterns across the Microsoft ecosystem (D365/Azure/Power BI/Fabric/Power Platform).

- Expertise in data governance, metadata, and data quality.

- Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform, with a track record of large-scale data migration delivery.

Technical Competencies:

- Hands-on experience with Fabric, Lakehouse and modern data pipelines.

- Advanced SQL and PySpark (desirable)

- Ability to support design authority and coach data stewards and business owners.
