Lead Full-Stack Software Developers (Public Sector)

Clearance: SC Clearance - Mandatory
Start Date: Immediate
Rate: £575 per day Inside IR35
Location: Manchester - 1 day per week on-site (non-negotiable)

About the Role

Our Public Sector client is seeking multiple Lead Full-Stack Software Developer to join a high-impact delivery programme. You'll be working on modern, scalable services with a strong focus on cloud, API design, microservices, and secure engineering practices.

Core Technical Skills Required Backend/Services:

• Java (Spring Framework) including:
  • REST API development
  • Messaging
  • Microservices
  • Docker & Kubernetes

Cloud:

• Azure (preferred)
• AWS considered if directly relevant

Frontend/Additional Tech:

• Node.js/Express
• Nunjucks templating

Data & Observability:

• PostgreSQL
• Observability frameworks/tooling experience (eg, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)

What You'll Bring

• Strong leadership in technical delivery
• Ability to design and build robust, secure, scalable services
• Experience working in complex public sector environments
• Must hold active SC Clearance
