Lead Software Engineer - Real Estate Technology - Inside IR35 - Contract - Sheffield

We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team in Real Estate Technology. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive technical delivery, contribute to code development, and promote continuous improvement across engineering practices.

You will collaborate with global engineering and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. Experience in real estate or financial services is not required - strong technical leadership and delivery capability are key.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor engineers while maintaining hands-on coding involvement
Design and deliver secure, scalable software solutions
Promote best practices across CI/CD, DevOps, and agile delivery
Improve service reliability, incident management, and operational performance
Work with Product, Architecture, and global teams to support technology roadmaps

Key Skills:
Proven experience leading technical teams
Strong hands-on software engineering experience
Knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Rate: £400 per day - Inside IR35
Location: Sheffield - Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
Duration: 6-month rolling contract
