Our client, a leading international banking group, is seeking an experienced LoanIQ Systems Analyst to support a major finance transformation programme. The role will focus on ensuring that all required loans data can be made available accurately and on time to the IFRS reporting solution and other downstream finance consumers.
This is a hands-on contract role within the LoanIQ team, with responsibility for identifying, extracting, governing, validating, and documenting LoanIQ data used across finance, reporting, and accounting processes. The successful contractor will work closely with Operations, Finance, Data, Technology, and external vendors across the full project life cycle.
The role is based in London - and is suited to someone with strong LoanIQ, data analysis, SQL, and finance transformation experience.
Key responsibilitiesElicit and document detailed data and interface requirements from LoanIQ stakeholders.
Understand end-to-end accounting entries for loans, guarantees, and SBLCs, including issuance, amendments, cancellations, and claims.
Perform source-system analysis in LoanIQ to understand data structures, usage, and lineage.
Define robust source-to-target mappings for downstream consumers such as sub-ledger, GL, data warehouse, and reporting platforms.
Develop and optimise SQL queries for extraction, validation, and analysis.
Specify and validate data extracts and feeds from LoanIQ, including files, APIs, and messages.
Design interface controls covering accuracy, completeness, timeliness, exception handling, and operational procedures.
Map as-is and to-be lending processes, including drawdowns, rollovers, repricing, fees, and trading.
Build and maintain datasets using LoanIQ entities such as deals, facilities, loans, events, and cashflows.
Support historical backfill, migration, profiling, cleansing, and cutover readiness.
Plan and execute SIT and UAT for interfaces and migrations.
Produce test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, and evidence for governance and sign-off.
Provide regular status updates, RAID management, and support handover to BAU teams.
Hands-on experience as a Business or Systems Analyst on LoanIQ.
Strong understanding of loan servicing, guarantees, SBLCs, and interface design.
Strong knowledge of loans, fees, collateral accounting, and syndicated lending.
Excellent SQL and data analysis capability.
Experience in finance transformation programmes, ideally including IFRS and sub-ledger work.
Proven experience producing BRDs, FRDs, mapping documents, test artefacts, and runbooks.
Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Experience collaborating with Technology, Operations, Finance, Product Control, and vendors.
