Management Accountant

• Implementing robust month end controls and processes from scratch
• Preparing management accounts, including KPIs, variance analysis, P&L, budgets, balance sheet, and cashflow forecasts
• Overseeing investment portfolio reporting
• Producing statutory accounts for review
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations
• Leading the month end close, ensuring ledgers are posted accurately and on time
• Supporting and supervising the finance team's day-to-day activities

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role (Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar)
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or late-stage studier
• Strong technical accounting skills, especially around statutory accounts and year end audit
• Experience in the charity or education sector is a bonus, but not essential
• Comfortable learning new systems and improving processes
