The Opportunity for the Plant Financial Controller job in Galway:

This Plant Financial Controller job in Galway offers strategic and commercial insight in a multinational manufacturing environment. Empowered with driving performance, providing financial analysis and accurate forecasting information regarding costs, sales & margins in order to support commercial and strategic decisions, you will join the Engineering Manager, Quality Manager and Production Manager on the Manufacturing Senior Management team.

In this job you will be the Finance Expert on the manufacturing Senior Leadership Team, providing insight into operational performance, sales and margin reporting, cost analysis, new product costing, spend analysis, make 'v' buy decision support, forecasting, budget management and all month end related activities. As the Finance Representative on numerous cross-functional project teams, you will identify, lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, both within finance and across the business.

You will be part of a team of highly qualified and extremely capable CIMA, ACCA and ACA Accountants, in a best practice, continuous improvement environment.

What you'll need to succeed:

To be successful in the highly visible job, you will have proven financial analysis or business partnering experience (approx. 5-10 years PQE) in a commercial, multinational environment, in the manufacturing sector. Being able to liaise with various stakeholders at senior management level is critical as you will be working in an environment of continuous improvement. A qualified accountant with excellent analytical skills, you will possess strong MS Excel skills, have an interest in utilizing AI and have the ability to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to the departmental heads.
