Marketing Specialist, Americas (Temporary/Part-Time)

Location: Milpitas, CA

Reports To: Senior Marketing Manager

Compensation Range: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour (SF Bay area candidates only)

This temporary position is expected to last through May 2027.

This position is open to candidates residing in U.S. states where the organization is currently authorized to employ individuals. Eligible work locations will be confirmed during the hiring process.

The Role

The Marketing Specialist executes integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, generate leads and registrations, and engagement for SEMI Americas events. This role owns the day-to-day production of eblasts and social media posts, creatively designs compelling marketing assets, and keeps event websites up to date and conversion-ready. This position supports the SEMI Americas marketing team and collaborates cross-functionally with programs, sales, operations, technology communities, and corporate marketing to ensure all efforts align with SEMI's initiatives and objectives.

This is a temporary, non-exempt position working 30 hours per week and reports to the Senior Marketing Specialist of SEMI Americas Marketing based in Milpitas, CA. This temporary position is expected to last through May 2027.

Core Responsibilities
  • Strategize Marketing Campaigns: Increase attendee acquisition and engagement for SEMI Americas events
    • Create multi-channel marketing plans for events and programs
    • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new audience
  • Email Marketing: Generate leads and drive conversions through targeted, on-brand email campaigns
    • Schedule and build email campaigns (eblasts, reminders, post-event follow-up) using Marketo
    • Generate quality email content and design compelling graphics
    • Proofread for accuracy and brand voice
    • Track and report on open rates, click-through rates, and registration conversions; recommend optimizations
  • Social Media Marketing: Build event awareness and community engagement across SEMI Americas social channels
    • Schedule, design, and publish organic social content across four SEMI Americas platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook.) to promote event registration, call for abstracts, speaker highlights, sponsor recognition, etc.
    • Maintain a content calendar aligned to the event marketing timeline
    • Generate a report post-event to highlight results from social media tactics
  • Website Management: Keep the event website accurate, current, and conversion-ready
    • Update event Drupal webpages with current details, agenda, speaker headshots and bios, sponsor logos, etc.
    • Ensure web content is accurate and aligns with SEMI branding
  • Event Onsite Preparations: Manage printed and digital collateral for event onsite
    • Design, create, and modify graphics, banners, PPT presentations, etc.
    • Serve as the point of contact between internal stakeholders and vendors for signages, event guides, and digital collateral
    • Manage specs, proofs, and revision rounds to ensure accuracy before print
    • Track production timelines and ensure deadlines are met

Knowledge or Experience

BA degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

3+ years of experience in email and social media marketing, including writing, building, sending emails using a marketing automation platform such as Marketo, and creating compelling social media graphics and captions

Track record of successful attendee acquisition and brand growth via digital marketing

Experience with Marketo or other marketing automation tools

Experience with Drupal or other web content management systems

Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Canva

Experience utilizing Google Analytics to analyze campaign performance

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
