Materials Planning Coordinator
Location: Mason, OH Pay Rate: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour Assignment Length: 3-Month Contract Schedule: Full-Time Work Environment: Onsite Open Office/Desk Environment
About the Opportunity: We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planning Coordinator to join a dynamic supply chain team in Mason, OH on a 3-month contract. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring materials are available to support production schedules while coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and manufacturing teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career supply chain professional looking to gain experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials from receiving and warehouse operations to production.
- Develop raw material and production scheduling requirements based on engineering specifications and production demands.
- Coordinate material availability with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams.
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to support production planning and inventory management.
- Monitor material shortages and help resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Work with suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules and lead times as needed.
- Support shipping and logistics activities, including assisting with export/import documentation and compliance requirements when applicable.
- Maintain accurate planning records and reports.
- Assist with process improvements and contribute to enhancements in planning systems and workflows.
- Communicate planning updates and material status with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Associate degree (or two years of post-secondary education) with 0-2 years of related experience
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
- Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain operations
