Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing company in Littleton, MA to bring on a temp Mechanical Design Engineer. This position is full time with opportunities for overtime.

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay: $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience

Duties / Responsibilities
• Design and develop mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks, with a focus on tooling, fixtures, housings, and detailed mechanical assemblies
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings from initial concept through final production release
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management
• Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation efforts
• Work directly with vendors to obtain quotes and support manufactured components
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and production efficiency
• Maintain accurate design documentation including CAD files, drawings, and revision control
• Communicate design details and changes clearly with internal teams and external suppliers

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency using SolidWorks for solid modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience with GD&T
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• SolidWorks certification is a plus (CSWA, CSWP, etc.)

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
