Job Title: MongoDB Specialist

Contract: 6 months initial (likely extension)

Clearance: Active SC clearance

Onsite requirement: Hybrid - once or twice a week

Location: Various technical hubs - Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, London, Cardiff, Manchester, Blackpool or Sheffield

Overview:

We're looking for a hands-on MongoDB Specialist to support a large-scale, data-driven environment within a UK public sector programme. This role will involve working with high-volume datasets, designing efficient data structures, and supporting integration across applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, structure, and optimise MongoDB collections for large datasets
• Break down complex data and system requirements into scalable solutions
• Develop and optimise MongoDB queries for performance and efficiency
• Support integration of MongoDB with wider application architecture
• Carry out performance tuning and optimisation across data environments
• Work closely with development teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB in production environments
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and data modelling
• Solid understanding of query optimisation and performance tuning
• Ability to translate complex requirements into practical data solutions
• Strong collaboration skills with developers and technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience working within the UK Public Sector
