Role Overview:
We are seeking a Monitoring and Surveillance Business Manager to join the Compliance Department's Monitoring & Surveillance Group. Reporting to the EMEA Head of Monitoring and Surveillance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's Monitoring and Surveillance leadership and execution teams. This position is crucial in ensuring effective compliance and in safeguarding the organisation against regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Management: Assist in harmonising the Monitoring and Surveillance frameworks across EMEA, contributing to the development of the regional strategy. Review policies and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Stay updated on regulatory developments to ensure practises remain compliant.
  • Monitoring Execution and Coordination: Support the leadership team with strategic initiatives, perform quality assurance reviews on outputs, execute monitoring reviews, and coordinate team meetings to ensure timely completion of management information and KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to stay informed on key initiatives, strategies, and changes. Build effective relationships to enhance collaboration between Monitoring and Surveillance and the business.
  • Project Management: Act as the coordinator for Monitoring and Surveillance projects, managing stakeholder expectations, deliverables, and workflows.
  • Business Process Re-engineering: Identify and suggest enhancements to drive operational efficiencies within the Monitoring and Surveillance Group and among stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education & Qualifications: A degree-level education is preferred, along with relevant professional qualifications.
  • Experience & Knowledge:

- Sound understanding of Monitoring and Surveillance and the regulatory landscape.
- Knowledge of financial services, markets, securities, and banking activities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
- Strong relationship-building skills across various organisational levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex messages confidently.
