Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis role plays a key part in ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and a smooth experience for borrowers from application through closing.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to mortgage loan officers and processors
- Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of loan applications and supporting documentation
- Collect, organize, and verify borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Order and track appraisals, title work, credit reports, and verifications
- Serve as a point of contact for borrowers, vendors, and internal teams regarding loan status
- Update loan files and systems to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with underwriting and closing teams to resolve outstanding conditions
- Maintain organized electronic loan files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- 1+ year of experience in mortgage, loan processing, or financial services support preferred
- Basic understanding of mortgage loan processes and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan origination systems
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting conventional, FHA, VA, or USDA loans
- Familiarity with automated underwriting systems (DU, LP, GUS)
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
