Location/Office Time: 1 day per week in the Dublin office, 4 days working from home
Rate: €400 - €600 per day (Flexible)

Summary

This is an experienced, full-stack, cloud-based application development role. This is an opportunity to work with a compact development team focused on providing cloud-based systems that deliver value to end customers.

This particular team provides support to the business through software procurement and development services.

Their strategy is cloud-native, distributed application deployment in Azure. The teams' philosophy is to seize every opportunity to deploy automation and productivity tools in order to: maximize human performance; increase agility; reduce friction in the production process; provide scalability; and enable around-the-clock availability and capacity.

The teams' primary development framework is C#, .NET Core with Angular and Blazor for UI development. Their primary IDE's are Visual Studio and VS Code with Azure DevOps being used for continuous integration and delivery.

Key Skills
  • 3rd level qualification, preferably in a technical discipline
  • Experience working with .NET 8 for Azure apps
  • Able to work well in teams and with stakeholders
  • An excellent communicator
  • Hold a Microsoft professional certification in C# or Azure or similar
  • Fluent in English, any other language an asset
  • Ideally experience working within a multicultural environment

Your work experience will help demonstrate your experience in key technologies, including:

  • C# 8 and above
  • .NET 8
  • Experience of any of the following would be an advantage:
  • Microservices architecture
  • DevOps methodologies
  • Azure Active Directory security and authentication
Responsibilities
  • Work with the ATG team of developers to migrate all applications to .NET 8. Tasks might include:
  • Assessing existing code for any potential issues with the proposed migration
  • Changing the code accordingly
  • Thorough testing, both automated and manual, to ensure continuation of expected functionality
  • Automated build and release
