Network Architect

Role: Network Architect

Location: London - predominantly remote but must be willing to travel to London site as and when requested

Duration: 12 Months

Day rate: 715 Inside IR35

Active SC clearance required due to project restrictions

Role Description:

• Network Architect responsible for key aspects of design, implementation and evolution of network architecture for the programme.

• Role requires deep network technical expertise and strategic planning and leadership skills to ensure delivery of a mission critical, robust, highly resilient, scalable, secure and high-performing network solution

• Candidates need to work closely with the Design Authority team, Data Center Infrastructure Supplier and Security Teams to align the overall network approach and delivery

Required Skills:

• Proven track record in network architecture / engineering and network delivery on-prem and integration with Cloud solutions in a complex large-scale programme
• Expertise in routing, switching, load balancing, VPN, Data Center LAN, Data Center WAN, DNS and network segmentation
• Familiarity with Network Automation and monitoring tooling
• In-depth understanding of network security principles
• Experience in supplier management and contract negotiations
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, team leadership and communications skills
