Network Designer - 6 Month Contract - London(INSIDE IR35)

Our client, a large distributed retail organisation, is seeking a Network Designer to deliver project-based network and security design work. This is a project delivery role only, with no BAU or operational support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and update high-quality network documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, and configuration specifications
• Apply established design patterns for routing, segmentation, cloud connectivity, and secure access
• Contribute to designs for Cisco ACI, including application profiles, endpoint groups, and policy models
• Contribute to documentation for Juniper Mist wireless and access network deployments
• Prepare integration and connectivity documentation for Zscaler ZIA and ZPA
• Update cloud network diagrams and documentation to reflect Azure changes and new deployments

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Strong understanding of routing and switching technologies
• Practical experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, QoS, and IPsec VPN in enterprise environments
• Experience with Cisco ACI and policy-driven network designs
• Familiarity with Juniper Mist wireless and access networking
• Experience designing Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and Zero Trust secure access patterns
• Practical experience with Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints) and hybrid connectivity (VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute)

Desirable:

• Automation/documentation experience with Python, Terraform, or GitHub; F5 LTM familiarity; experience in large distributed or retail organisations

• Rate: £500 day (Inside IR35)
• Location: London (Onsite)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
