Network Security Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the autonomous mobility sector, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their dedicated team. As a Network Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Security Operations Department supporting the IT and Security teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $80 per hour

What's the Job?

• Support and maintain network security systems including firewalls, URL filtering, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Assist in the implementation and architecture of network security solutions across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security protocols and ensure compliance.
• Manage AWS network security services, including Security Groups, NACLs, and Transit Gateway architectures.
• Support network access control and remote access VPN configurations to ensure secure connectivity.

What's Needed?

• 6+ years of experience supporting production network security environments.
• Extensive background in IT systems, application engineering, and administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS network security services, including AWS Network Firewall and VPC architectures.
• Practical knowledge of PKI, cryptography, and certificate management.
• Strong understanding of the OSI model and Layer-7 protection techniques related to network security.
