This is a *UK/Newcastle* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisationworking on *delivering quality Infrastructure products.*

Description:

As a Senior Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department and guiding teams on how to deliver quality Infrastructure products. You will assist in the design and running of Infrastructure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles. Working in collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders, and customers you will ensure the operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability, and quality of Networks.

You will actively manage the work backlog and develop reliability improvements as well as leading initiatives to develop the automation of low-value tasks balanced against project delivery demands.

You will help to develop, modernise and provide solutions for the client's network infrastructure; while streamlining ways we deliver this to our customers with speed and consistency.

Therefore, experience and successful track record of design, build and operations of network services in large scale organisations is required, specifically in the areas of:

• OSPF and complex BGP environments for optimized traffic flow and redundancy
• SDWAN technology and solutions for enhanced connectivity and performance
• NGFW technologies to ensure security and policy enforcement with a 'Zero Trust' emphasis
• Designing secure high availability Hybrid Cloud connectivity solutions (AWS & Azure and OCI)
• SaaS and Cloud based WLAN and WiFi enterprise wireless networking
• Design and manage VXLAN Overlays for scalable Datacenter networking
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• Experience with Load Balancing technologies and modules (F5 ASM, APM, LTM BIG IP)
