Client : Aerospace The Ops / KT Engineer (1 Position) Experience Required: 5-7 years Hourly Rate - $60 - $70/hr on W2 with Cyient C2C Rate - $70 The Ops / KT Engineer is responsible for supporting operational readiness, documentation, knowledge transfer, and handover activities for enterprise data and platform solutions. The role focuses on building runbooks, operational procedures, support documentation, incident response guides, and KT artefacts to ensure smooth transition from implementation to steady-state operations. This role works closely with Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, QA, Technical Leads, and operations teams to support production readiness, operational governance, and structured handover of delivered solutions. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain operational runbooks, support guides, restart procedures, rollback steps, and backfill instructions Develop knowledge transfer materials for pipelines, workflows, platform components, and support processes Support creation of incident response playbooks, operational checklists, and handover documentation Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to capture implementation knowledge, dependencies, and support procedures Maintain documentation for source onboarding, job schedules, alerts, SLAs, recovery steps, and escalation paths Support production readiness reviews and operational acceptance activities Assist in preparing KT plans, training sessions, walkthroughs, and handover checklists Track documentation status and ensure delivery artefacts are complete before production transition Support post-deployment stabilization, incident learning capture, and continuous improvement documentation Work with DQ / Observability and DevOps teams to document dashboards, alerts, monitoring processes, and operational controls Help standardize templates for runbooks, playbooks, SOPs, and knowledge repositories Participate in operational governance meetings and help capture action items, risks, and follow-up documentation Required Skills Experience in operations support, documentation, KT, or production support readiness Good understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, scheduling, monitoring, and support processes Ability to create clear runbooks, SOPs, support guides, and handover documents Familiarity with incident management, escalation flows, operational checklists, and recovery procedures Working knowledge of SQL, data workflows, cloud platforms, or DevOps processes Strong coordination and communication skills across engineering and operations teams Experience using documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, or similar platforms Preferred Skills Exposure to data engineering, DevOps, monitoring, or cloud platform support Experience preparing KT plans, training content, and transition documents Familiarity with CloudWatch, Grafana, Airflow, Databricks, or similar operational platforms Knowledge of incident playbooks, SLA reporting, and production support processes Experience in enterprise environments requiring structured handover and operational governance.
