Oracle Payroll Technical Consultant - Inside IR35 (paid via an umbrella) - Up to £800 per day - Up to six months initial contract

We are looking for an experienced Oracle HR & Payroll Technical consultant to join our M&A integration team. The role will be leading the functional design and implementation of Payroll to support employee migrations.

Key Responsibilities Implementation & Configuration
  • Configure Oracle Payroll modules, including elements, fast formulas, balances, and payroll flows.
  • Data extractions, load and reconciliation of employee and payroll data required to support migrations.
  • Support end-to-end implementation cycles: requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Conduct workshops to understand business processes and payroll requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and execute test scripts for SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Validate payroll results (parallel run testing), costing, and integrations.
Integrations & Reporting
  • Work with technical teams to support integrations with the line of business systems.
  • Build or validate reports using OTBI, BI Publisher, or Payroll Activity Reports.
Compliance & Best Practices
  • Maintain documentation and support audit requirements.
Required Skills & Experience Functional Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll or EBS Payroll
  • Understanding of payroll elements and Fast Formulas, statutory deductions, costing, retropay, RTI and year end.
Technical/Analytical Skills
  • Must have hands on Experience in HCM Extracts, BIP, HDL Loaders, and HCM/Payroll Database Tables.
  • Ability to interpret payroll calculations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as OTBI.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle Cloud Payroll certification.
  • Experience with multi country payroll implementations.
  • Background in HRIS, HR operations, or payroll administration.
  • Consulting experience in a client facing environment.
