Oracle PL/SQL and DBA Support Specialist

Location: Cardiff
5 days per week onsite initially

We are looking for an Oracle PL/SQL and DBA Support Specialist to support a large Oracle database environment.

The role will involve supporting PL/SQL modules, resolving production incidents, monitoring databases, assisting with releases and deployments, performance tuning and working with customer teams to resolve issues within SLA deadlines.

Key skills required:

Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience
Experience writing and supporting PL/SQL packages
Oracle 10g or later, ideally Oracle 11g
Unix or Linux exposure
Basic Oracle DBA knowledge
Production support or application support experience
Good communication skills

Useful experience:

SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
Oracle Partitioning
RAC, RMAN or Data Guard
ITIL or Remedy experience

Candidates must hold active SC Clearance and NPPV3 and meet the nationality requirements for the role.
