Position DescriptionThe role of the Networks Programme area is to manage the delivery of work programmes within Regulatory funding. Ensuring that work programmes are prioritised to reflect business strategy, policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and cost-effective delivery of business goals. This requires communication with stakeholders to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of their regulatory obligations, while ensuring that the regulatory tracking process is maintained and conforms to requirements.
The Owner Engineer is the Project Manager for the Project Development Phase and is responsible for delivering capital approval for large scale, high value projects and continual oversight of same during project lifetime. The Owner Engineer in the Transmission Development Team will manage Transmission projects and will report to the Transmission Projects Development Manager within the Transmission 2030 team in ESB Networks.
The Transmission 2030 Team supports the delivery of the Transmission Development Plan to meet the targets in the Government's Climate Action Plan (CAP23), in line with ESB Networks for Net Zero Strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis position is based in either ESB Networks, Sarsfield Road, Wilton, Cork or ESB Networks Leopardstown, Co,Dublin. Occasional travel will be required.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make 'in-person' time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.
