Part-time Finance Director - 3 days p.w.

Role: Interim Finance Director

Location: Bedford (on-Site)

3 days per week £700-£750 per day Outside IR35

A privately-owned Group based in Bedford is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to join their Executive Team on a part-time interim basis.

Reporting directly to the Chairman, this is a high-impact, broad role sitting at the intersection of strategic financial leadership and active investment management. You'll work closely with the Board, shareholders and external funding partners to drive the Group's long-term growth strategy, whilst also ensuring the finance function is fit for the future.

The Role

This is not a purely operational finance position. Alongside overseeing financial reporting, planning, audit and compliance, you'll play a central role in appraising and managing new investment opportunities, external partnerships and complex joint ventures. You'll lead relationships with banks and private funders, and support the commercial, legal and structural aspects of new deals.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified accountant with a track record as an interim FD or CFO
• Comfortable operating at board level with shareholders and external funders
• Experience with investment appraisal, private funding and banking relationships
• Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and equally comfortable with the big picture
• An understanding of commercial real estate, real estate finance or capital markets would be desirable

This would suit an established Fractional FD looking to add to their portfolio.
