A Part-Time Mental Health Clinician position is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Science. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the assessment and treatment of clients' clinical needs and assists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. This role assumes case management responsibilities for assigned clients, provides psychotherapy services, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective treatment outcomes. The clinician may also provide clinical supervision to staff, students, or interns as assigned.

Location: Newark, NJ
Job duration: Minimum 6-month temp/contract role (possibility of extension
Shift: Part-time, Tuesday-Thursday, 24-hours/week
Salary: $ 40.00/hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Services
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy as clinically indicated.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to the development of psychosocial treatment plans.
  • Engage clients and families in treatment planning and goal setting in accordance with professional standards.
  • Assist clients in managing crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Address cultural, socioeconomic, and psychosocial factors affecting treatment.
  • Manage termination and discharge planning in a timely and effective manner.
Case Management & Care Coordination
  • Maintain overall case management responsibilities for assigned clients.
  • Coordinate treatment services and serve as a liaison with community agencies and support networks.
  • Advocate for appropriate services and resources for clients and families.
  • Collaborate with referral sources and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain open communication with treatment team members.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, charts, and reports in compliance with Joint Commission and Center standards.
  • Complete discharge summaries within 15 days of termination of services.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with federal, state, and institutional requirements.
Program Participation & Professional Development
  • Participate in center meetings, committees, and task forces to support program operations.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in behavioral health by attending training programs, workshops, and continuing education events.
Supervision & Leadership
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff, students, or interns.
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback to support professional development.
  • Demonstrate leadership by contributing to policy development, staff training, and program improvement initiatives.
Compliance Responsibilities
  • Adhere to institutional policies including the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Maintain awareness of all applicable federal, state, and university regulations governing mental health services.
Patient Population Served

Services may be provided to the following populations:
  • Pediatric (1-12 years)
  • Adolescent (13-17 years)
  • Adult (18-64 years)
  • Geriatric (65+ years)
Additional populations may include individuals with:
  • Developmental delays
  • Exceptional communication needs
  • Bariatric conditions
  • End-of-life care needs
  • Isolation precautions
Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of post-Master's experience in substance abuse or behavioral health treatment.
Licensure
  • Applicants with a Master's in Psychology must possess a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
Additional Requirements
  • Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Individuals in recovery must have a minimum of two years of abstinence from drugs or alcohol prior to employment.

Pay Details: $40.00 per hour
