Role: Performance Tester

Rate: £410 per day (umbrella rate)

Contract Duration: 6-12 months

Location: Remote UK
Onsite: London/Manchester/Newcastle (For key meetings, as required by the client)

Must have 5 years of unbroken UK residency

Role and Responsibilities:
Atrium EMEA are supporting a large service provider, looking for an experienced Performance Tester to assess system performance and optimise applications.

This role focuses on transforming traditional testing methods into proactive Performance Testing, utilising cognitive tools to prevent rather than just detect issues. The Performance Tester plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality software products by consistently adopting efficient test practices and emphasising quality assurance. Through the creation and guidance of Quality Plans and an overall focus on Quality throughout the project life cycle, this role contributes significantly to improved time to market.

Required Skills:
* 3+ years automated performance testing experience, JMeter, K6 and Gatling proficiency, Grafana monitoring, AppDynamics expertise.
* Strong proficiency in Python, Java and Bash Scripting, test automation capabilities.
* Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* CI/CD pipeline integration
* Comprehensive performance test design for web applications/APIs
* Bottleneck analysis and optimization recommendations
* Development team collaboration for troubleshooting, post-deployment monitoring, detailed test planning and reporting capabilities.
