Planner (SC-Cleared)

Planner | Gloucestershire 2-3 x per week | SC-Cleared | £500 - £600 a day Inside IR35

Due to continued success across our Defence portfolio, we are expanding our Project Controls capability for our engineering and manufacturing programmes.

As such, we are seeking a Planning Consultant to join our team, who will act as the technical authority and focus on the P6 planning and scheduling function across a complex manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Establish and enforce strict P6 schedule hygiene, maintaining robust logic networks.
• Collaborate with engineering and workshop leads to map complex technical dependencies, design-to-manufacturing transitions, and multi-stage assembly sequences into P6 activities.
• Conduct detailed schedule variance analysis against approved P6 baselines to track project velocity and performance trends.

Required experience:

• Proven experience building and managing complex schedules within defence or advanced, high-value manufacturing sectors.
• Familiarity with schedule-related metrics for Earned Value Management (EVM) systems and defence procurement life cycles.
• Broad experience mapping baselines across defence - ideally within manufacturing environments such as submarines, ships, nuclear, air, or land.

Due to project sensitivities, our consultant must have active and valid SC-Level Clearance.
