Power BI Consultant - SC Cleared - Remote

Cloud Consulting have an urgent requirement for an experienced Power BI Consultant to join a high-profile project for a leading company.

The role is fully remote, inside of IR35 and requires Security Clearance.

We are seeking a highly capable Power BI Consultant for a 6 month contract engagement to support a project through advanced Paginated and SSRS reporting capabilities. The consultant will work closely with engineering and data teams to deliver high-impact reporting solutions that meet complex formatting, parameterisation, and visualisation requirements.

This role demands hands-on expertise with Report Builder, Power BI Paginated Reports, and Azure Maps, along with a strong understanding of dynamic parameter handling and data-driven subscriptions

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement paginated reports using Report Builder with advanced formatting and layout controls including:

Pagination control, conditional visibility, repeat on page, page numbering, and conditional formatting.

Configure dynamic parameter passing via URL to Power BI paginated reports.

Implement M parameter handling with query folding for performance optimisation.

Develop rich visualisations beyond tables, including: Charts with axes, scale breaks, strip lines, small multiples, gauge indicators, dynamic icons, and Embedded images.

Azure Maps integration for geospatial rendering within paginated reports.

Design robust parameter frameworks including: Default values, cascading parameters, multi-select, 'All' options, and optional parameters.

Set up and manage data-driven subscriptions and parameter scheduling patterns.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience with Power BI Paginated Reports and SSRS.

Strong proficiency in Report Builder and advanced report formatting techniques.

Deep understanding of Power BI parameterisation and query folding.

Experience with Azure Maps and geospatial visualisation in reporting.

Familiarity with data-driven subscriptions and scheduling strategies.

Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines.D
