Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Supportability Engineer to join their team in Bristol on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that defence systems are supportable and meet the high demands of Front Line Command users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Support Solution Development Tools (SSDT).
- Conduct thorough Supportability Analysis to influence design requirements.
- Ensure compliance with DEFSTAN 00-600 and S3000 series standards.
- Analyse evidence to improve Resilience, Agility, and Preparedness (RAP) during Transition to Conflict (TTC) and Conflict.
- Optimise in-service support solutions and processes, including support assurance documentation and obsolescence management.
- Collaborate effectively with the MOD and industry contractors.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in supportability, ILS, or engineering within the defence sector.
- Strong working knowledge of DEFSTAN 00-600 and the S3000 series.
- Understanding of Support Solution Development Tools (SSDT).
- Ability to influence design through effective Supportability Analysis.
- Experience in the Military Air Environment, preferably within Combat Air.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with MOD and industry contractors.
