Product Manager (SFIA Level 4)

Government Client | £400 per day (Inside IR35) | Active SC Clearance Required | Initial 3-Month Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Product Manager (SFIA Level 4) to support a major government programme on an initial 3-month contract.

This role will suit a proactive and self-sufficient Product Manager who can develop clear product visions, strategies, value propositions, and roadmaps while working effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective product visions, strategies, value propositions, and roadmaps.
  • Define problem spaces and articulate hypotheses that can be tested and refined throughout delivery.
  • Drive product thinking and best practices across delivery teams.
  • Work closely with Delivery Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
  • Influence and support senior stakeholders in adopting effective product management approaches.
  • Champion user-centred design principles while balancing business priorities and value delivery.
  • Help embed product management tools, techniques, and behaviours into ways of working.
  • Manage competing priorities while operating effectively within complex delivery environments.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager (SFIA Level 4 or equivalent).
  • Strong experience developing product visions, strategies, roadmaps, and value propositions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage ambiguity effectively.
  • Experience defining problem statements and developing hypotheses.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles.
  • Ability to balance user needs with business objectives.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within Central Government or wider Public Sector organisations.
  • Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working across the full product life cycle.
  • Strong experience partnering with Delivery Managers and senior delivery stakeholders.

Contract Details

  • Role: Product Manager (SFIA Level 4)
  • Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)
  • Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract
  • Location: Any UK Government Hub
  • Attendance: 60% On-Site
  • Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
  • Start Date: ASAP
