Assemblers play a key role in supporting continuous improvement within production operations by performing assembly tasks on components and subassemblies while following drawings, schematics, visual aids, and written or verbal instructions. Work may span general, electronic, and mechanical assembly functions, including production assembly, PCB loading, soldering to IPC standards, handling inert and energetic materials, equipment setup, and precision tasks under microscopes. You'll maintain required certifications, participate in ongoing training, and apply safety protocols such as ESD prevention and explosive area handling.

General Assembly Responsibilities
  • Perform production assembly on components and subassemblies
  • Use visual aids, drawings, schematics, and written/verbal instructions to assemble, modify, re work, or re assemble units
  • Receive detailed instructions for new tasks and assignments
  • Attend offsite training to maintain necessary certifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for assembly and production processes
Electronic Assembly Responsibilities
  • Hand load PCB assemblies using schematics and visual aids
  • Identify electronic component values and follow IPC A 610 standards
  • Solder electronic components, including fine pitch work
  • Perform microscope based soldering and anomaly repair
  • Maintain up to date electronic assembly certifications (e.g., IPC J STD, IPC A 610)
  • Apply ESD prevention practices consistently
Mechanical Assembly Responsibilities
  • Weigh and press inert and energetic materials
  • Set up and operate analytical balances and powder press equipment
  • Perform inert assembly operations
  • Conduct cabling, potting, tinning, and basic soldering tasks
  • Install subassemblies and conduct minor equipment setups
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely within explosive handling environments

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience Requirements
  • 1-2 years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience
Required Skills
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, drawings, and schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, dexterity, and fine motor skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to plan, execute, and complete tasks independently
  • Electronic Assembler duties require IPC J STD and IPC A 610 certifications
  • Proficient with hand tools; accurate use of calipers; soldering preferred
  • Comfortable working in high precision and explosive handling environments
  • Self starter with strong follow through
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of fine motor skills for precision tasks

Available Schedules
  • Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM OR Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Opportunities for overtime vary per shift

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
