Project Manager (Contract)
Location: UK (Home-based with 1 monthly visit to Denmark)
Day Rate: 500 per day (outside IR35)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: Initial 3 months (with potential extension)
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major warehouse fit-out programme, with responsibility for managing the implementation of critical IT infrastructure and associated technology workstreams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a contract Project Manager with a strong background in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments, who has successfully delivered complex infrastructure deployments involving structured cabling, networking and operational technology.
Working within a multi-contractor environment, you will take ownership of project planning, governance, stakeholder management and delivery, ensuring all technical workstreams are coordinated and aligned with the wider construction programme.
Project Scope
The successful contractor will oversee the delivery of multiple technology workstreams, including:
Enterprise IT network infrastructure
Structured cabling installation
Wireless network deployment
CCTV systems
IT hardware installation (PCs, printers and operator workstations)
Server room infrastructure
Operational power supplies
Warehouse operational lighting
Key Responsibilities
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
Experience Required
We're looking for contractors who can demonstrate:
Proven experience delivering warehouse fit-out, industrial, logistics or manufacturing projects.
Strong track record managing IT infrastructure implementation projects.
Expertise in creating and managing detailed project plans using Microsoft Project.
Excellent understanding of structured cabling, enterprise networking and IT infrastructure deployments.
Experience delivering projects involving server rooms, control rooms, wireless networks and CCTV systems.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and reporting.
Ability to coordinate multiple contractors within a live construction environment.
Flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally to Denmark.
