Purchase Coordinator

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support our client, a sports & live entertainment company. The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $25-30 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This is a temporary position, 3-6 months, and the schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm; hours may flex on event days.

The Purchasing Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the purchasing team with daily receiving, buying and distribution of goods throughout our operation. This role supports procurement activities by assisting in the acquisition of goods and services, performing buying duties when necessary, and contacting suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries.

• Receive and match shipments to their associated purchase orders
• Receive purchase orders, invoices and other forms and reconciles for completeness and accuracy
• Store and retrieve purchase orders, proof of purchase, proof of delivery, pricing quotes, receipts, and other necessary documents
• Report damages and shortages to the purchasing department
• Work with vendors to resolve shortages, damaged product and missed or late deliveries
• Create requisitions and ensures proper delivery of product to F&B locations
• Perform regular inventory reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the department
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ year's experience in purchasing role
• Hands-on experience with purchasing software
• Working knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to create reports and conduct cost analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
• Must be comfortable in a warehouse environment
• Must be comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs
