Job Title: Python Developer (Backend)
Location: London- Hybrid (2-3 x days per week in the office)
Salary/Rate: Up to £455 per day
Start Date:23/02/2026
Job Type: 10-month inside (IR35 calculator)

Company Introduction:
We are currently recruiting for a Python engineer with experience in AWS Cloud infrastructure, Web services, microservices and APIs for an exciting contract at our global client in the insurance sector.

Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, with proficiency in Python for backend development
• Experience with Web Services, Microservices & APIs
• Able to work in an Agile development environment with continuous integration
• Confident working with data-intensive applications
• A fearless attitude towards tackling challenges across the entire stack
• A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

As a Python Software Engineer at our client, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, designing and building the next generation of solutions that power our life saving mission critical systems. Across the entire platform, you'll have the opportunity to deep dive into our stack, which includes our AWS cloud infrastructure with Python driving our backend operations.

• Play a part in building great experiences for our customers, continuously improving the quality and value of our products
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions
• Develop and maintain backend systems to ensure seamless operation
• Dive into our tech stack, exploring new tools and technologies to drive continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and beyond
