We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to support testing across our client portal, digital investor, and upcoming case management and workflow initiatives. This role will provide dedicated QA coverage aligned with UK/EU time zones and will play a key role in ensuring quality across development and UAT, supporting structured testing and release readiness.

The position requires a balance of manual testing, automation using Python, and close collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, create, and maintain test cases based on user stories and functional requirements
  • Execute manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory) across multiple product areas
  • Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to validate fixes
  • Participate in requirement walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint ceremonies
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements and identify gaps early
  • Contribute to test automation using Python-based frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, pytest)
  • Support testing cycles across development and UAT, and provide input into release readiness decisions
  • Proactively identify risk areas and ensure adequate test coverage
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing
  • Strong experience in manual testing and structured test case design
  • Hands-on experience with Python-based test automation (Playwright, Selenium, pytest)
  • Experience contributing to automation frameworks and regression suites
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Proficiency with Jira (or similar tools)
  • Ability to work closely with Product Owners and Developers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in cross-regional teams
Nice to Have
  • Experience in financial systems / fintech / investment platforms
  • Experience with BDD frameworks (pytest-bdd, Cucumber)
  • Experience working with distributed global teams (US, UK/EU, India)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Azure Test Plans
Why This Role Is Important

This role will provide time zone coverage for UK/EU stakeholders, enable faster feedback during development and UAT cycles, support the transition of structured testing from business UAT into QA, and help scale automation and regression coverage while reducing release risk.

What Success Looks Like Within 90 Days:
  • Develops a strong understanding of platform architecture, workflows, and testing processes
  • Contributes to manual testing, defect validation, and test case creation
  • Begins contributing to Python-based automation and regression coverage
Within 6 Months:
  • Owns testing for key workflows and ensures comprehensive coverage
  • Balances manual and automated testing, improving regression coverage
  • Supports structured testing across development and UAT, with clear reporting on progress, risks, and release readiness
Within 12 Months:
  • Drives improvements in automation and regression efficiency
  • Provides input into release readiness with high confidence
  • Helps standardize QA practices across workstreams
Ongoing:
  • Ensures system reliability through proactive testing and defect identification
  • Promotes continuous improvement and strong cross-team collaboration
