Senior GIS Data Specialist (QA/QC & ETL)Location: 100% Remote Client: State of North Carolina - NCDOT Duration: 12 Months+ (Long-term) Rate: $70/hr (1099) Job ID: 797724 Role Overview Excelraise is seeking an Expert GIS Data Specialist to support the NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) GIS Team. This critical role focuses on the long-term maintenance, enterprise integration, and QA/QC of the NCDOT Hydrography Layer. You will be responsible for migrating mature datasets into the Enterprise GIS environment, ensuring data stability, and managing complex ETL processes. Key Responsibilities Data Integrity: Perform advanced geometry, event, and attribute changes to ensure accurate management of the Hydrography Layer. Database Management: Execute direct SQL Server Database queries and maintain robust data structures. ETL Operations: Create, maintain, and optimize Extract, Transfer, and Load (ETL) processes for enterprise integration. QA/QC: Lead rigorous quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure data reliability. Reporting: Provide detailed progress reporting on data migration and system health. Required Qualifications 7+ Years of Experience in Data QA/QC. 7+ Years of Experience in ETL process creation and maintenance. Expert-level proficiency in Direct SQL Server Database queries. Strong experience with Linear Referencing and ESRI Roads and Highways. Proven track record in high-level Progress Reporting for large-scale GIS projects.
