Remote Software Engineer III (New York) -- $90-$110/hour
24-MAGWe are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Software Engineers with strong backgrounds in backend systems, frontend development, product engineering, and scalable technical infrastructure.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured technical workflows, product development, technical evaluation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their software engineering expertise to build scalable backend services, support modern frontend experiences, contribute to workflow automation systems, follow technical instructions with precision, and contribute to high-quality technical deliverables.
Key ResponsibilitiesProfessionals in this role may contribute to:
Product & Platform Development
- Develop and enhance software systems that support large-scale workflow operations
- Implement modern frontend experiences using React and related frameworks
- Build and maintain backend services supporting scheduling, transcription, and workflow automation
- Design scalable systems that support high-volume operational workflows
AI Integration & Workflow Innovation
- Collaborate across technical teams to integrate AI-assisted functionality into workflow systems
- Help implement systems for automated feedback, quality checks, and summarization
- Support the development of tools that improve usability, efficiency, and operational consistency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists to deliver end-to-end product experiences
- Contribute to the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
Strong candidates may have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with languages such as Java, C++, or C#
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PHP
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience working with AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API design patterns
- Experience integrating AI or machine learning models into production systems
- Experience building scalable web applications and distributed systems
- Background in recruiting technology, HR systems, or enterprise productivity platforms
- Apply software engineering expertise to high-impact technical work
- Contribute to product development, workflow automation, and scalable infrastructure initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and data
- Gain experience working with advanced technologies in production environments
