S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect (Public Cloud) - £900 - £1100/day - Mostly Remote (London) - July Start - 6 months

bluewaveSELECT have been retained by a global client to engage an experienced S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect to support a large-scale Public Cloud rollout programme.

Following a successful pilot, the programme is now deploying into lower headcount but significantly more tax-complex regions, requiring strong architectural leadership to bridge the gap between global template design and regional realities.

This is a critical hire, and candidates must have proven S/4HANA Public Cloud experience (ideally multiple implementations).

Any onsite will be only for critical workshops, in Central London.

IR35 determination is pending, either way flexibility on rate will reflect experience in desired areas.

Key Requirements

• Proven S/4HANA Finance Architect experience on global, multi-entity programmes
• Strong S/4HANA Public Cloud experience is essential (priority for multiple implementations)
• Deep expertise across:
  • Finance architecture & operating model design
  • Global template design & rollout
  • Company code/entity structure
  • Chart of Accounts (CoA) strategy
• Experience delivering multi-entity rollouts across multiple tax jurisdictions(critical)
• Strong understanding of 2-tier/hub-and-spoke architectures
• Proven ability to bridge Finance stakeholders and SAP delivery teams
• Experience scaling templates into tax- and compliance-heavy regions

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the S/4HANA Finance architecture as the programme scales beyond pilot
• Govern and adapt the global template for complex regional rollouts
• Lead design across:
  • Entity structure & organisational design
  • GL & CoA strategy
  • Cross-jurisdiction governance models
• Act as the bridge between global design and regional deployment, resolving tax and compliance-driven challenges
• Provide architectural oversight on SAC and broader reporting landscape integration
• Define and govern data, accounting, and reporting models across the rollout
• Support Group Reporting alignment (non-core; specialist to be onboarded)
• Act as design authority, enforcing fit-to-standard while enabling localisation

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of S/4HANA Group Reporting/consolidation
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Consulting background strongly preferred
• Experience in Professional Services or complex operating models
