SAS Technical Architect (Viya 4/Transformation)

• £670/day Inside IR35
• Mostly remote (Telford 2 days onsite per month)
• 6 months
• Active SC clearance required
• Previous Public sector experience essential

We're seeking a SAS Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise analytics solutions, with a strong focus on SAS Viya 4 and cloud migration.

You'll define end-to-end architecture, support migration from SAS 9.4/Viya 3.5 to Viya 4, and ensure alignment with enterprise cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end SAS architecture (incl. Viya 4)
• Lead migration from Legacy SAS platforms to Viya 4
• Design scalable cloud-based analytics solutions (AWS/Azure)
• Define deployment patterns (incl. containerised/Kubernetes environments)
• Provide technical leadership across engineering teams
• Ensure governance, security, and performance standards

Key Skills

• Strong SAS architecture and Viya 4 experience
• SAS DI, Visual Analytics, SAS Studio/Enterprise Guide
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
• Kubernetes/containerised deployments
• Experience leading large-scale migration programmes
