Overview

SENIOR ICT CYBERSECURITY MANAGER - CONTRACT DUBLIN 4 HYBRID

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Competitive day rate (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity governance and own the organisation's cyber risk strategy
• Maintain and evolve the IT risk register, policies, standards, and procedures
• Manage third-party/vendor security risk including UpGuard or equivalent platforms
• Act as primary liaison with MSSP/SOC providers reviewing incidents, alerts, and vulnerability outputs
• Own and operate the Incident Response Plan; lead tabletop exercises
• Support audit and compliance activities (GDPR, NIS2, internal/external audit)
• Provide executive-level reporting on risk, incidents, and security posture
• Input into architecture decisions, new projects, and security gap remediation

Mandatory Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity Management & Strategy
• Recognised certification: CISSP, CISM or equivalent
• Experience maturing GRC environments
• Experience managing third-party/vendor risk
• Experience overseeing MSSP or SOC providers
• Fluency in English
• Microsoft security stack: Defender XDR, Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Zero Trust architecture
• Third-party risk tooling: UpGuard or equivalent
• NIS2 / GDPR compliance experience in an Irish or EU public sector context
• Experience operating as vCISO or sole security lead in a lean IT environment
