Security and Environment Manager

On behalf of UKAEA (UK Atomic Energy Authority) we are looking for a Security and Environment Manager (INSIDE IR35 for a 9 months contract based hybrid Cumbria, Warrington, London, Oxford

UKAEA run the UK's national fusion energy research programme, sponsored by the Government's Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. They are on a mission to deliver safe, sustainable, low-carbon energy from fusion, achieving maximum scientific and economic benefit along the way.

As a Security and Environment Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
. Ensuring standards agreed for environments
. Implementing relevant environment governance and control
. Manage all aspects of the NDA IT security, on premises, cloud elements and network infrastructure.
. Responsible for implementation of NDA Cyber security frameworks and policies as relevant to NDA IT infrastructure.
. Participation in helping define, review and implement appropriate cyber security measures within IT and future strategy and policy.
. Provide input to architecture and designs for IT security and requested cyber security improvements.
. Responsible for management of IT security risks across NDA IT technology assets.
. Responsible for adoption and implementation of all IT security advice from relevant external agencies such as government (DESNZ, DSIT, NCSC, etc) plus the ONR and ICO.
. Support performance, resilience, life cycle and incident response improvements
. Collaborate with stakeholders such as Cyber Team, Enterprise Architecture, Information Governance and relevant external agencies.
. Support ongoing transformation and improvement work.
. Manage IT security incident response
. Provide detailed IT security technical knowledge as required for all current and future operational systems.
