Senior Business Analyst (Data) - Contract Dublin (Hybrid)

Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin to hire a Senior Business Analyst (Data) on a long-term rolling contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact, data-driven initiatives, shaping how data is used to drive decision-making, regulatory compliance, and business insights.

Location: Dublin (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Contract: 6 months rolling long-term contract

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to uncover, shape, and document data requirements that drive real business value
• Translate requirements into clear, actionable specifications for data engineering and analytics teams
• Work hands-on with large, complex datasets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Support and enhance data governance, quality, and lineage frameworks
• Contribute to regulatory and risk-focused data initiatives, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Drive improvements in data processes, controls, and reporting capabilities
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on data-driven decision-making

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data / analytics
• Solid hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
• Proven ability to work with complex datasets and translate insights into business value
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Exposure to data governance, lineage, or data quality frameworks
• Experience with regulatory data initiatives (e.g. BCBS 239)
• Familiarity with Python or MongoDB
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence
