Senior Data Scientist - £500 - Inside IR35 - London Hybrid

RecOps is partnered with a leading consultancy to support an AI/Data Science project for one of their end clients in the insurance sector.

This role is £500 per day, inside IR35, and requires 1 day per week onsite in Central London.

Key Skills required:

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist on AI/ML projects
• Excellent Python skills, with the ability to write clean, well-tested code
• Experience working with stakeholders to define business problems and translate them into technical requirements
• Strong experience with data acquisition, preprocessing, feature engineering and model training
• Experience selecting, training and evaluating ML models using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score
• Good understanding of GenAI/LLMs, including prompt engineering and model optimisation
• Experience with testing, validation and handling edge cases, ideally using pytest
• Understanding of production AI/ML considerations, including monitoring, output validation and model performance
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
