Delivery Manager (Data Migration - Cloud Data Platform)

Day rate: c. £500-£520 (inside IR35, depending on experience)
Location: Remote- no Visa requirements
Contract: Initial 6 months, likely extension

The opportunity

We're supporting a large, complex data migration programme, moving from Legacy on-premise infrastructure to a modern cloud data platform built on Snowflake and Azure. The team needs an experienced Delivery Manager who also brings some hands-on Business Analysis capability to help keep delivery on track and stakeholders aligned.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain clear technical and functional documentation for the new cloud data platform.

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into actionable deliverables for technical teams.

  • Own project governance: manage risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions, ensuring they are logged, tracked, and mitigated.

  • Lead core delivery ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, showcases, and progress meetings.

  • Coordinate work across data engineers, data analysts, and non-technical business teams.

  • Track progress against timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and proactively unblock the team.

  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment between technical and business stakeholders.

  • Support testing, validation, and deployment activities for the new data platform.

  • Ensure all project documentation and governance artefacts are kept accurate and up to date.

  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to senior stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager on data migration, data platform or cloud projects for a government project.* must

  • Comfortable doing light Business Analysis: requirement gathering, process mapping, documentation. (business analytics background)

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work with both technical teams and non-technical business users.

  • Solid understanding of agile delivery practices and how to apply them pragmatically.

  • Experience in environments using modern cloud data platforms (eg Snowflake, Azure, or similar) is highly desirable.
