Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Anywhere in the UK | Hybrid Working (London Offices 1-2 days/week)
Inside IR35 - Excellent Rates
Duration: 6 months initial, with extensions

This is a *United Kingdom*based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *Designing, building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation.*

Are you passionate about building reliable, scalable cloud platforms and enabling teams to deliver software faster and more securely?

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in designing, automating and optimising modern cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines. You'll work on meaningful, high-impact projects within a collaborative engineering environment where automation, quality and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing, building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation.
  • Managing cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS, using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Supporting and improving production services with a focus on reliability, performance and resilience.
  • Automating operational tasks and developer workflows using Python.
  • Working with Git-based development practices to enable efficient, collaborative software delivery.
  • Investigating complex technical issues using a structured, evidence-based approach and driving continuous improvements.

We're looking for experience with:

  • Hands-on DevOps engineering in production environments.
  • CI/CD tools and modern software delivery practices.
  • AWS (or another major public cloud such as Azure or GCP).
  • Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
  • Git and source code management.
  • Python (or similar Scripting/programming languages such as Go or JavaScript).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
