We're supporting a defence client with a Senior Digital Service Owner to lead a portfolio of critical digital and IT services underpinning complex engineering, research, and data environments.
This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on end-to-end service ownership, ensuring services are aligned to business needs, performing to agreed standards, and continuously improving in a highly secure, complex environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for a suite of digital services, owning them from strategy through to live operation. Working across technical teams, delivery leads, and suppliers, you'll ensure services are robust, scalable, and delivering real value.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end life cycle of multiple digital/IT services
Define and implement a multi-service strategy and roadmap
Ensure services meet SLA/KPI performance standards
Act as the escalation point for service issues
Lead continuous improvement across live services
Manage suppliers and mixed delivery teams
Engage senior stakeholders and drive alignment
What We're Looking For
Proven experience owning live digital/IT services (not just delivery)
Strong background in service management (ITIL)
Experience managing multiple services or service portfolios
Ability to translate strategy into operational delivery
Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience
Experience in government, defence, or regulated environments (highly desirable)
