This is a *Northwest, Northeast, & West Midlands* Hybrid based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *complex, large-scale digital services used by millions across the UK*

We're looking for an exceptional Java Developer to join a high-performing Agile team delivering complex, large-scale digital services used by millions across the UK. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical platforms where quality, innovation, and user outcomes matter.

What You'll Bring

• Strong commercial experience with Java 21+
• Expertise in TDD, BDD, automated testing, and continuous delivery
• Proven experience building and supporting large-scale microservice architectures
• Strong API development experience (internal and external-facing)
• Comfortable with pair programming and collaborative engineering practices
• Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and a passion for learning new technologies
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Experience

• Jackson, JAX-RS, Mockito
• Kafka, ActiveMQ, or similar messaging technologies
• MongoDB or other document databases
• High-traffic, high-availability web platforms
• Large-scale data processing and storage solutions
