Senior Ruby Developer - 3 month contract - Fully remote

We're working with a rapidly scaling tech company that's looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to come in and make an immediate impact on an initial 3 month contract, with scope for extension.

This is a fully remote engagement and suits someone who can operate independently from day one.

The Role
You'll be brought in to optimise an existing Ruby on Rails application, with a strong focus on:

• Identifying performance bottlenecks across the application and infrastructure
• Improving scalability, reliability, and overall system efficiency
• Working with AWS-based systems in a production environment
• Making meaningful architectural and performance improvements as the business continues to scale rapidly

This is a hands-on role with real ownership, not just delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Expert-level Ruby on Rails experience
• Strong background working with AWS environments
• Proven experience scaling applications at significant volume
• Track record of performance optimisation and system improvements
• A self-starter who can stand alone, take ownership, and deliver quickly
