Overview
We are seeking an experienced Title Officer with a minimum of 10 years of industry expertise to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate transactions, title insurance, and compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of mortgage processes, underwriting, and legal documentation related to property titles. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough title searches and examinations to verify property ownership and identify any liens, encumbrances, or legal issues
Prepare and review title reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Coordinate with underwriters, escrow officers, lenders, and attorneys to facilitate smooth transaction processes
Ensure adherence to FNMA guidelines, Fair Housing regulations, TILA requirements, and other applicable legal standards
Assist in the preparation and review of loan documentation, contracts, and escrow instructions
Analyze credit reports and financial data relevant to property transactions
Support loan origination and processing activities by providing clear title information and resolving discrepancies
Maintain detailed records of all title searches, reports, and correspondence for audit purposes
Stay updated on changes in mortgage servicing laws, banking regulations, and industry best practices
Skills
Extensive experience with FNMA guidelines and underwriting procedures
Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing, loan processing, and credit analysis
Proficiency in TILA regulations, contracts law, escrow procedures, and fair housing laws
Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately; proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry
Familiarity with loan officer functions and the overall loan origination process
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal documents related to real estate transactions
Knowledge of banking operations related to mortgage lending and title insurance processes

Pay: $24.42 - $32.56 per hour
