Senior Wintel Engineer

Senior Wintel Engineer - £450 per day via Umbrella - 3 Month Contract - Manchester (Hybrid) - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to support data centre and cloud infrastructure services. This Wintel Engineer role will focus on maintaining Windows, VMware and Azure environments while supporting infrastructure improvement projects across the organisation.

Your responsibilities as the Wintel Engineer:

• Administer and maintain data centre and cloud infrastructure.
• Perform system monitoring, security checks, patching and incident resolution.
• Support VMware, Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage core services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, VPN, MFA, WSUS and SCCM.
• Support SAN storage, backup solutions and Citrix environments.
• Deliver infrastructure changes and implement new technical solutions.

As a successful Wintel Engineer, you will have:

• Expertise across Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 administration experience.
• VMware administration experience within data centre environments.
• Azure administration skills, including IaaS and JSON templating knowledge.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, anti-virus platforms and Citrix.
• Experience in infrastructure or data centre operations.
• Additional Azure administration experience.
• Unix/Linux administration skills.
